Libby leaves the courtroom…half smiling? Photo courtesy of the NYTimes

Scooter Libby sure has hell to pay
Since the judge refused to delay
With no word of a pardon
From Bush’s rose garden
He truly might be put away

If this measure passes, she could vote…and so could somebody else in Utah. Photo courtesy of Eleanor Holmes Norton’s official page.

Committee members agree
There’s something amiss with D.C.
When last t’was taxation
Sans representation
We found ourselves swimming in tea

When there’s a will, there’s a way
As proved by events yesterday
They took the first step
Towards a full voting Rep.
Now the Senate will say yea or nay

If you bought a suit in dark blue
Just for your judicial debut
You too would be peeved
When the pants weren’t retrieved
But is that a reason to sue?

Even if you’re a stickler for dress
There’s really no need to obsess
So you lost some slacks
Just try to relax
Don’t add to our legal excess
